2000 GUINEAS 1841

The 33rd winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Tuesday 27th April 1841 over the Rowley Mile, was Ralph (5/2 fav), a Chestnut colt by Dr Syntax out of a Catton Mare, owned by the 4th Earl of Albemarle, winning by a length, with a head back to the third. A field of 8 runners contested the race which was worth £1,450 (Equivalent to £135,700 in 2017)
